Clay Buchholz allowed two runs on three hits in three innings in his second start of the spring on Friday. Those aren't exactly eye-popping numbers for a pitcher, but the start was encouraging, nonetheless. Buchholz featured a solid changeup and curveball, showing increased sharpness on his pitches. Most importantly, however, is that the right-hander felt good physically. His...

I think that sometimes we forget that spring training isn't about winning. We always are expecting the Boston Red Sox to win every time they take the field.
But that's not what spring training is about.
For a good portion of the 25-man roster, it's about getting ready for the season. For some, it's about performing well to try and make the 25-man roster or to...

I want to make sure that we at Jose's Army Ted's Army don't go overboard with the Jose Iglesias love fest. But when Peter Gammons goes on the Mut & Merloni and says that Iglesias is, right now "very close to" being the best defensive shortstop in all of baseball? It's hard to hide my, er, smile.
But amidst all the compliments, Gammons did rain a...
