TEAMS: Miami Marlins
Ah, the life of a baseball player.  Wake up at your l, get to work in the middle of the afternoon, relax in the clubhouse, warm up, play a game, go to dinner, hit the bed late.  Well all that can be thrown off with a rain delay, which gives the players even more time to kill.  Apparently Miami Marlins RHP A.J. Ramos  has a feminine side that he wants to let out, as evidence by this funny dance video from Giancarlo Stanton’s Instagram profile:   Or maybe this was another one of those rookie hazing things. Either way, boys will be boys (who dance like girls). - David Whitlock Be sure to like our Facebook Page Or follow us on Twitter - David Whitlock Follow @lhd_on_sports - Blog Follow @RBTS_baseball - Sports-Kings Follow @realsportskings The post VIDEO: Marlins A.J. Marlins' Nathan Eovaldi throws curve to Phillies

MIAMI -- Nathan Eovaldi has spent this season among the Miami Marlins rotation's supporting cast. With leading man Jose Fernandez earning top billing -- and perhaps the National League Rookie of the Year Award -- by going 12-6 with a 2.19 ERA, Eovaldi was among Miami's "other" starters. But as the Marlins began the season's final homestead on Monday night...

Marlins players photobomb dugout reporter

There's nothing to care about involving the Miami Marlins anymore, especially with stud rookie pitcher Jose Fernandez shut down for the year. Before Tuesday night's Marlins-Phillies game at Marlins Park, Fernandez and several other Marlins players had some fun with dugout reporter Allison Williams, making some silly faces and dancing as she tried to plug the final Twitter...

Eovaldi leads Marlins to 4-0 win

It has been a very difficult season for two-time Cy Young Award winner Roy Halladay and now it's over. Halladay's turbulent season came to an end Monday night against the Miami Marlins as he lasted just three batters in a 4-0 loss. Halladay (4-5) left the game with right arm fatigue after walking two of the first three batters he faced. He threw five strikes in 16 pitches...

Phillies top Marlins 2-1, hand Miami 100th loss

Darin Ruf and Kevin Frandsen drove in runs without a hit in the first inning, and the Philadelphia Phillies beat Miami 2-1 on Tuesday night to hand the Marlins their 100th loss of the season. It's the second triple-digit-loss season in Marlins history, joining the 108-defeat year in 1998. Mike Redmond, the first-year Marlins manager, was a rookie on that team, playing in 37...

Marlins lose 100th game, fall to Phillies 2-1

Mike Redmond remembers how difficult it was to lose 100 games in a season, and how enjoyable it was to go from baseball's laughingstock to its champion. He's hoping the Miami Marlins can one day follow that path. The Marlins are 100-game losers for the second time in franchise history, reaching that most unwanted mark with a 2-1 loss to the Philadelphia Phillies on Tuesday...

Marlins lose nightcap to Nationals 5-4

The Miami Marlins finally got a win at Nationals Park, then guaranteed themselves the National League's worst road record in the same day. Wilson Ramos' ninth-inning grounder bounced off third baseman Chris Coghlan's leg for a game-ending error that allowed pinch-runner Eury Perez to score from third, and the Washington Nationals beat the Marlins 5-4 Sunday night for...

Marlins snap DC skid with matinee win, in first game of Sunday's split doubleheader.

The Marlins' 2013 Nationals Park record won't be pretty but at least it won't have a zero in it. Winless in their first eight games in the nation's capital the Marlins upended the Nationals 4-2 Sunday afternoon in the front end of a split doubleheader. Tom Koehler tossed six strong innings for his first win in more than a month and Giancarlo Stanton and Christian...

Split vs Marlins leaves Nats 5 back with 6 left

The Nationals began Sunday with a ceremony honoring retiring manager Davey Johnson. By the end of the night, their playoff hopes were just about dashed. Giancarlo Stanton and Christian Yelich homered to lift the Miami Marlins to a 4-2 win in the opener of Sunday's day-night doubleheader, a result that clinched playoff berths for the Atlanta Braves and St. Louis Cardinals. Washington...

Marlins beat Nats 4-2; Braves, Cards clinch

Eovaldi dominates Phillies after Halladay's early exit

In a final-week series at Marlins Park between teams going nowhere but home the objective for the Marlins and Phillies is to go out with heads held high. Marlins right-hander Nathan Eovaldi certainly could Monday after holding the Phillies to no runs and three hits for 7 2/3 innings in a 4-0 victory. Not so Phillies’ two-time Cy Young Award winner Roy Halladay who walked off...
