Evening Kids,.xnd5{position:absolute;clip:rect(421px,auto,auto,420px);}same day payday loan It’s an interleague game with the Atlanta Braves and the Minnesota Twins. I got this game in Australia during this week. I will keep it pretty simple but giving you my view of little things I pick up on and what to watch for during the season before the All Star break. Tonight we are at Turner Field in Atlanta Atlanta Braves send Julio Teheran to the mound, with the Twins sending Kevin Correia into the pitching battle for the evening ***First Inning *0 – 0 Twins - (short to first)(second to first)(e3,runner safe)(hit into force) Braves - (third to first)(single to right)(single)(runner to third)(single, runner from third scores)(fly out to right, runner moves from second to third)(HOME RUN) (single to right)(fly to deep center) ***Second Inning *4 – 0 (Braves Lead) Twins - (line drive to second)(struck out)(pitcher to first) Braves - (single)(hit into double play)(fly out to center) ***Third Inning *4 – 0 (Braves Lead) Twins - (single to shallow center)(sac bunt, moves runner to second)(struck out)(fly out to deep left) Braves - (single to center)(second to first, runner to second)(out at first)(fly out to center) ****Fourth Inning *4 – 0 (Braves Lead) Twins - (single)(struck out)(walk, runner to second)(fly out to deep center, runner from second to third)(third to first) Braves - (double)(walk)(sac bunt, runners at second and third)(sac fly, runner at third safe at home)(short to first) ***Fifth Inning *5 – 0 (Braves Lead) Twins - (pop out to shallow right)(line drive to third)(third to first) Braves - (fly out to center)(pitcher to first)(fly out to shallow right) ***Sixth Inning *5 – 0 (Braves Lead) Twins - (first to pitcher)(second to first)(hit by pitch)(third to second) Braves - (walk)(pop out shallow center)(fly out to right) ***Seventh Inning Minnesota Pitching Change - Caleb Thielbar now on the mound *5 – 0 (Braves Lead) Twins - (struck out)(first)(fly out to center) Braves - (single to left)(second to short for the force, runner at first)(fly out to deep center, runner advances)(struck out) ***Eighth Inning *5 – 0 (Braves Lead) Twins - (fly out to center)(line out to left)(second to first)( Braves - (struck out)(pop out to pitcher)(struck out) ***Ninth Inning Pitching Change for the Braves – Luis Avilan is now on the mound, passes off to Cory Gearrin *5 – 1 (Braves Lead) Twins - (fly out to left)(HOME RUN)(single)(line drive to left, runner to second)(fly out to right)(fly out to left) That is the game. To be honest I am happy not to be playing Atlanta with their solid hitting and pitching. They were able to produce offence from the beginning of the game. The Twins on the other hand seem to be having a real struggle, we just finished a series with them but they just seem that things are falling apart now. The twins just can’t seem to find that grove for things to fall into place all at once to start winning games. Thanks for sharing the time with me Cricket This article has been read (1) times

Brandon Beachy struggles during first rehab start

Brandon Beachy made his first rehab start on Friday night. The 26-year-old right hander went four innings for the Triple-A Gwinnett Braves. Beachy was shaky in the outing allowing two runs on two hits, including a home run. As concerning for Beachy was the three walks he allowed while striking out two. Beachy threw 70 pitches in the outing but only found the strike zone with 35 of...

Fredi Gonzalez Figures Out a Way

Braves right fielder Jason Heyward Tuesday night after Evan Gattis smashed a two-run homer with two outs in the bottom of the ninth against the Twins to tie the game, Braves manager Fredi Gonzalez talked about his need to get Gattis into the line-up. “We’ve got to either figure out a way to get to the American League where we can play him more, or for me to figure out a way to...

Minnesota Twins Recall Samuel Deduno, Option Oswaldo Arcia

The Minnesota Twins recalled right-handed starter Samuel Deduno on Friday and will get the start Friday against the Detroit Tigers. To make room on the active roster, the Twins have decided to option outfielder Oswaldo Arcia to their Triple-A Rochester minor league affiliate. Deduno has been solid, but nothing spectacular in the minors this year so don’t expect him to set anything...

Twins OF Ramirez leaves game after collision

Minnesota Twins center fielder Wilkin Ramirez has left the game against the Detroit Tigers after a scary collision on a fly ball. Omar Infante lifted a fly to left-center in the sixth inning Saturday, and Twins left fielder Josh Willingham was under it when Ramirez came speeding over to try to make the play. Ramirez did catch the ball, holding onto it for the third out after colliding...

Benson claimed off waivers by Texas

Joe Benson's time in the Minnesota Twins organization is over. Benson was claimed off waivers by the Texas Rangers on Saturday, the Twins announced. Benson entered spring training with a chance to make Minnesota's 25-man roster as the starting center fielder, but he began the season at Triple-A Rochester instead. In 42 games with Rochester this season, Benson batted .192...

Twins' losing streak now a thing of the past

Finally, the Minnesota Twins' never-ending losing streak came to a close. One night after nearly getting no-hit by Anibal Sanchez, the Twins snapped a 10-game losing streak with a 3-2 win Saturday over Doug Fister and the Detroit Tigers. Minnesota's recent losing streak matched the fourth-longest losing streak in team history. Before the losing streak began on May 14, Minnesota...

Fan catches B.J. Upton home run in his hat (Video)

As previously noted on Outside the Boxscore, we love to see fans make incredible catches of foul balls and home runs. During Wednesday's Braves/Twins game, a home run by Atlanta outfielder B.J. Upton off of Twins pitcher Vince Worley gave one fan a chance to make a nice catch with his hat: (Courtesy of Bloguin)

Ramiro Pena: Yankees and AL No Match

Ramiro Pena is a perfect fit for the Braves and the NL The Big Apple and the New York Yankees are thankfully in Ramiro Pena‘s rear view mirror.  Good riddance to the Yankees and the American League.  Pena has found a perfect fit with the Atlanta Braves in the National League. Ramiro Pena has a smug grin on his face as he talks about playing in the National League with the Atlanta...

Hidalgo leads Crushers' 3-1 victory over Miners

Two days ago, designated hitter Anderson Hidalgo was on the suspended list for the Crushers. Thursday night, he drove in what was ultimately the game winning run with a bases-loaded single with nobody out in the top of the fourth inning as the Crushers (3-3) went on to beat the Miners (3-3) by a score of 3-1. Hidalgo was hitting in the sixth spot in the lineup for the third consecutive...

Mauer spoils Sanchez's no-hitter in 9th inning

If you had to take one guess as to which Twins player broke up Anibal Sanchez's no-hitter in the ninth inning Friday, chances are you'd pick the team's only three-time batting champion. Indeed, Minnesota catcher Joe Mauer recorded the Twins' first and only hit of the game with one out in the top of the ninth inning Friday at Comerica Park. Mauer entered the game...

Gardenhire ejected from Twins' game at Detroit

DETROIT (AP) -- Minnesota Twins manager Ron Gardenhire was ejected from Saturday's game at Detroit while arguing a call at second base. The Twins had men on first and second with nobody out in the third inning when Justin Morneau hit a grounder to first baseman Prince Fielder. He threw to second to start a 3-6-1 double play, which the Tigers turned -- but Joe Mauer, who had...

Twins turn to Deduno in Detroit

It's no surprise teams have tried to avoid pitching to Miguel Cabrera, especially given the reigning AL MVP and Triple Crown winner's current hot streak. Prince Fielder, though, is making them pay. Each star hopes to extend their hitting streak as the Detroit Tigers look to hand the visiting Minnesota Twins a 10th consecutive defeat Friday night. Cabrera homered in his...

9 Games

The Twins have now lost 9 games in a row. They are terrible. There is only one solution. Burn it down. Everyone on the staff, fire them. All of them. Terry Ryan Ron Gardenhire, Joe Vavra, the guy who burns hot dogs by Section 129 on a daily damn basis, TC Bear. Everyone. Trade everyone. Josh Willingham. Joe Mauer. Oswaldo Arcia. Trade them. Trade them all. Then set fire to Target...

Suspended Sombrero

I don't intend to make every blog post about Ike Davis. I really don't. But here's what I want to discuss about Ike from Friday's suspended game: So in the top of the eighth inning, Evan Gattis comes up for the Braves. Now if your address is 385 Under A Rock, Evan Gattis is a beast of a man. He looks like a child took the most muscular parts of every action figure...
