Wake up Cleveland! Something special is going on at the Jake

I'm not here to provoke anyone or to belittle a city's most beloved team, but I am getting fed up. Last night was a special night at the Jake, the Indians pulled out another win in their final at-bat and showed once again that there is something special this year happening at the corner of Ontario and Carnegie. But you want to know the sad thing? This city doesn't care! They are more intrigued about the Browns mini-camp. I know that this year is not comparable to the years of Manny and Thome hitting biblical homers or Roberto and Omar turning spectacular double plays but it has it's own special flair. In the times of big egos and even bigger paychecks, isn't it refreshing to see a team with no egos winning? Or would we rather hear about Winslow Jr. screaming about how he is a solider while playing on a team that will be lucky to pull out three victories this upcoming season? Cleveland needs to go to the Jake and support this team, they are made up of great guys and they are fun to watch. Things like fan support can help a team during a long 162 game season, and why would C.C. want to resign with a team that can't even sell out a weekend series with the Tigers? As much as this city complains about being a victim of sports failure's I can understand the reluctance to get behind a baseball team in July, but I am telling you there is something going on at the Jake that you will not see at the Browns Stadium in years, maybe decades. This core of this young team is not going anywhere, WAKE UP and enjoy the ride....
