PITTSBURGH – The only way to top tying a record at an MLB ballpark is to break it later that same night. After tying the WVU baseball all-time home run record with a three-run shot in the first inning, Grant Hussey broke it with two-run bomb in the fifth.

Hussey’s first home run tied him with Jedd Gyorko and Tim McCabe for the school record. With both dingers, Hussey now has 11 home runs and 31 RBI on the season.

Hussey entered the day with a .250 career average 35 home runs, 107 RBI, a 76 walks and a .379 on-base percentage.

Hussey’s record breaker put WVU up 10-0 over Pitt in the baseball Backyard Brawl.

Below are some images of Hussey’s big home run taken by Ed Thompson.
