R.A. Dickey just won National League Player of the Week. He also recently wrote a great book called Wherever I Wind Up: My Quest For Truth, Authenticity and the Perfect Knuckleball.
The Mets changed their jerseys this season, basically removing the terrible black alternate jerseys from their repertoire and removing the black drop shadows, creating a cleaner, more authentic, and more traditional looking jersey. The team now uses a gray road uniform and a cream pinstriped jersey and a white jersey as their home uniforms. The Mets also eliminated their variety of hat colors to stick with the traditional blue and orange cap.
If you want to buy a Mets jersy, go ahead and do so. However, it costs just north of $250 to order a jersey with a player’s name on it. Click here if you want to see your price options.
Anyway, that R.A. Dickey shirt up there combines the awesomeness that is R.A. Dickey and the awesomeness that is the new Mets road uniform. I’m going to order one now. If you want to check it out also, click here. The Mets charge you $37 for the shirt.
What do you think?
By the way, we have a shirt available for $20.99 and a sweatshirt available for $34.99 Check out our store here.

On Sunday, R.A. Dickey pitched 7⅓ innings of shutout ball against the Padres, allowing three hits, walking one and striking out ten batters. The 10-K performance gave Dickey 29 strikeouts over his last three starts (20⅓ IP). It also helped in lowering his ERA to 3.06, a number Dickey had...
Following Monday’s 8-4 loss to Philadelphia, the Mets made several roster moves:
After leaving the game with an apparent ankle injury, Justin Turner will be placed on the 15-day DL with a sprained ankle. To replace the replacement to the replacement for Ruben Tejada, the Mets have promoted infielder Omar Quintanilla from Triple-A Buffalo to presumably be the everyday shortstop...
New York Mets general manager Sandy Alderson confirmed to Jon Heyman of CBSSportsline.com,that the Mets plan to offer David Wright a contract extension during the season.
“I would expect sometime before the season’s over, we will have a conversation,” Alderson told Heyman. “I’m hopeful he’ll be here a long time.”
According to Heyman:
By making an offer in season, it...

Buffalo 7, Columbus 1
By Andrew O’Brien
Days after Buffalo Bisons manager Wally Backman had a heart-to-heart with Jordany Valdepsin, the 24-year-old responded.
Valdespin launched a three-run homer Monday afternoon, leading the Bisons to a 7-1 win over the Columbus Clippers on Memorial Day.
Dylan Owen (3-2) made the spot start for...
Omar Quintanilla. Jeremy Hefner. Scott Hairston. If someone told me prior to tonight’s game that those would be the names of the offensive stars of the night for the Mets, I’d have said this team was in danger of being swept tomorrow. But that isn’t the case, as the Mets are in position to take yet another series from the Phillies tomorrow on the strength on some big offensive...
Manny Acosta was finally DFA’d today as the Mets made some roster moves.
If you watched today’s game, the writing was on wall for Manny pretty much immediately. He came into the game with the Mets down a run and promptly gave up two hits and then some how struck out a batter. Then he gave up a three run bomb and the Mets were basically out of it from that point on. Acosta leaves...
Good afternoon Mets fans and welcome to another stupendous day of baseball! Tonight the Mets take on the Phillies in the rubber game of their three game series. For the second time this season, Dillon Gee will take on Cliff Lee in a battle of men with short last names that also happen to rhyme. In the last Gee vs. Lee game, the Phillies lefty was the better starter, but the Mets...
Jeremy Hefner earned his first victory in the majors, highlighting the occasion by homering for his first big league hit as the New York Mets beat the Philadelphia Phillies 6-3 on a rainy Tuesday night.
The 26-year-old rookie became the first major league pitcher to hit his first homer in his first win since 2002, when Dennis Tankersley did it with San Diego, STATS LLC said.
Final: Phillies 3, Mets 6.
WP: Jeremy Hefner (1-2, 5.60)
LP: Joe Blanton (4-5, 5.05)
SV: Frank Francisco (14)
Joe Blanton went five-plus innings, allowed six earned runs over nine hits and two walks. He gave up two home runs, making that eight total in his last three starts.
Jeremy Hefner of the Mets picked up his first major-league win, as the Phillies offense was limited to...
The Mets have no depth on their 40-man roster.
You’ve heard that since the offseason. I preached it here consistently during spring training. I believed this club had an outside chance of winning about 85 games; maybe even competing in a pennant race for a second Wild Card. What would derail them was their depth, or lack of it.
The names were not exciting. Vinny Rottino, Jeremy...

Lee vs. Gee: one of the best matchups we get now and then, and not just namewise. The two have matched up before and provided some six-letter pitching matchup excitement.
Dillon Gee is 4-3 with a 4.92 ERA. He can be stellar and he can be mediocre. Cliff Lee is winless, but had been stellar most of the...
