A day after the Jays routed the Angels in a 13 run, 15 hit outburst, Jered Weaver held the Blue Jays to a lone run on a measly 3 hits.  Weaver was fantastic in his first complete game of his career as he kept the Jays hitters off-balanced, allowing many pop-ups and weak ground balls.  The game finished 6-1 in favour of the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim, or whatever their name is this year, and although all six runs were charged to Robert Ray, the Blue Jays rookie pitched much better than the numbers suggest.  Ray kept the Jays in the game, holding the Angels to just three runs through the first five innings.  Unfortunately, three hits from the Jays bats were never going to do the trick as the Angels eventually ran away with the victory.Tomorrow night the Jays visit Oakland as the surprising Scott Richmond (4-0, 2.67 ERA) takes the mound against a southpaw by the name of Josh Outman (0-0, 4.41 ERA).  Quick thoughts for the night:Josh Outman...fantastic name for a pitcher.Anyone noticing that Travis Snider is so often swinging himself out on the first pitch.  I know he's a rookie, but Cito needs to have a chat with the talented lefty and figure out a way to work on the kid's patience.  His love for swinging at the first pitch may be a reason for his stagnant numbers. Its not a mystery that the Jays offense has been fantastic, but I've noticed that they have a tendency to score runs early.  As a matter of fact, in the 31 games the Jays have played this season, they have scored at least a run in the first two innings 24 times.  What a great way to give your starting pitcher a boost of confidence. The steroid era continues...The baseball world is reeling after Manny Ramirez was given a 50 game suspension for violating the league's drug policy.  Although the drug was not named, Ramirez has thrown in the towel and decided against appealing the suspension.  Lets take a look at some of the big names that have been caught:1 .A-Rod2. Clemons3. Bonds4. McGuire5. Sosa6. Palmerio7. Petitte8. Ramirez This list makes us wonder who is next...
