Pro Sports Daily:
Coming off a 2-5 homestand that was troubling in the extreme, the Seattle Mariners were able to turn it around in a huge way on their just-completed road trip. Wednesday's 8-6 win over the Angels in Anaheim gave the Mariners a 5-4 road trip against two first-place clubs (the Texas Rangers and the Chicago White Sox) and one second place team (the Los Angeles Angels). More significantly, the Mariners went 2-1 in Texas, the first series win for Seattle in Arlington since September 2010. And they went 2-1 in Anaheim, the first series win there for the Mariners since May 2010. On the seven-game homestand that led up to the winning trip, the Mariners struggled against the Rangers and the Angels, batting just .167 while averaging 3.0 runs per game and hitting just three homers. On the trip, more than Seattle doubled its run output, averaging 7.3 runs per game while hitting 14 homers. Kyle Seager drove in 10 runs, Justin Smoak drove in eight, and Michael Saunders hit safely in e...

Okay kids, it’s that time of year again!
With last years misery supposed to help on draft day, Mariners fans have enjoyed their team drafting high in past years.
Not that it has helped as of yet with the big league club, it is still fun to look at these kids and wonder how they will look in a Mariners uniform.
This year, the M’s own the third overall pick on the board. Unlike...

ESPN‘s Kiley McDaniel says Dodgers first rounder Corey Seager has All-Star upside. McDaniel: The Dodgers pop Corey Seager here, the brother of Mariners third baseman Kyle Seager, but Corey is bigger and more physical than his brother. Corey could be a tough sign here with a strong commitment to South Carolina, but you have to
Who thought it was a good idea for 2 catcher leagues? I’m guessing it was Lou Marson, because I’m not sure why else that guy exists. A word of friendly advice, when trying to survive league formats that carry a second catchers position, the general rule of thumb is try not to stab yourself in the eye. Trust me, because for the next six weeks, I’ll have to wear this custom made...
