A very popular rumor today was the Eric Byrnes for Luis Castillo idea. First off I would make the deal in a minute but I just don't see it as realistic. The funny thing is, it was an Arizona beat writer who suggested the idea and I would think the D-Backs would be the team that scoffed at the suggestion.So why would the the D-Backs look to move Byrnes, he's a 32 y/o right handed corner outfielder who only played in 52 games last year and hit .209. Byrnes is owned 11m per year for two years and is only a lifetime .263 hitter. Once thought to be the leader of the young D-Back core of players the team seemed to move on without him.
