The Chicago Cubs have started to go the youth route to finish the year. Darwin Barney was brought up as he’ll join the other rookies the Cubs are looking at. My guess is- it won’t end there. With nothing to play for, I’m actually excited to see some of the youth come to Wrigley to showcase their talents for next year…or dare I say…another organization?
The Cubs system is starting to bud with prime prospects. It’ll be an outstanding rush to see these kids play a month, and head into the offseason wanting to taste more of the big leagues. I was able to see the Peoria Chiefs play this weekend in Kane County and let me tell ya- Hak Ju Lee is gonna be a good player.
The season for the Cubs hasn’t worked out the way anyone would have liked- but there is still baseball left to be played. There are players that are striving to get better. And frankly- I love to see that as a Cubs fan. A couple moves, and the emergence of 3 or 4 of these kids next ye...
