You know the MLB season is about to begin when you start hearing stuff like this.A.J. Burnett, the Pirates newest pitcher, fouled a ball off his right eye during a bunting competition today at Pirate City. Nobody thinks it's a serious thing, but either way he's flying to Pittsburgh tonight to have it looked at.Who knows, maybe an eye patch is all Burnett needs to really become a Pirate.

During the bunting competition at Pirate City today, newly acquired right-hander A.J. Burnett fouled a ball off his face. Burnett was checked out by the training staff and when exiting the field, Burnett joked, “this isn’t over yet.”
