Throughout Spring Training, 23-year-old outfielder Jackie Bradley Jr. won the hearts of fans and even sparked a #KEEPJBJ campaign on twitter. The Red Sox had a decision to make; keep JBJ in the minors to continue his development or start his MLB career a bit earlier. With fan support and one more roster support, the team opted to give him a shot. Although Bradley managed to draw some key walks in the series against the Yankees, he never seemed to find a groove. In 12 games with the Sox, he managed to get only 3 hits in 31 at-bats. When David Ortiz was ready to return to the team following his achilles injury, JBJ was sent down to AAA Pawtucket Red Sox on April 19th. Since returning to the minor leagues, JBJ seems to be coming out of his slump. He is averaging .226 and looks to be back on the right track.
