With the Braves’ season on the brink of absolute disaster, an unlikely savior has risen from the dead. Technically he rose from Gwinnett, but just ask Jordan Schafer or Atlanta commuters and you realize there is hardly a difference between the two. Yet somehow someway, Nate McLouth got down south to the Ted in time for the Braves/Mets game on August 31st, and Braves country should be thankful he did. Although he wasn’t anything special on that night, McLouth has been nothing short of spectacular since being recalled to “the show”. From that moment on McLouth has produced the downright gaudy line of .333/.378/.758 with seven extra-base hits in thirteen games. Lack of productivity in center has troubled the organization since Andruw’s decline in 2007 and has been especially problematic this season.
