As we sit down to feast on Thanksgiving, I thought today would be a great day to celebrate for what we, as Mets fans, should be thankful.
Many a Met fan these days are of the despondent and cynical version and it’s hard to blame them as the Mets have continued to disappoint their fan base for the last few years.
And now we continuously have to worry about if Jose Reyes will leave this team or not.
On Thanksgiving, though, now is not the time to be spiteful, but rather thankful.
So, in this post I will celebrate some things us Mets fans should be thankful for.
1) Still having David Wright around
While he has battled injuries and inconsistencies for the last few years, David Wright has remained a constant in otherwise turbulent times.
Sure, his value has diminished, but Wright has been the heart and soul for this team. He always gives a great effort and he should not be at fault for the Mets’ recent troubles.
