Yesterday, Manny Acosta earned two saves in the Mets doubleheader sweep of the Phillies. He became the second pitcher in Mets history to record two saves on the same day; the last one was Armando Benitez in the aforementioned doubleheader against Colorado. He now has four saves in seven opportunities this year. Earlier this week, Sandy Alderson acknowledged that the 2012 closer is not likely to be on the roster and indicated he would like to know who the closer will be going into Spring Training next season.
