So here’s what we know:
1) Bryce Harper, a phenomenally talented 19 year old who also occasionally does annoying things, got plunked by Cole Hamels on May 6.
2) Cole Hamels admitted doing it on purpose, “to continue the old baseball… that old-school prestigious way of baseball.”
In the week sinc...

Bryce Harper was bloodied and needed to be treated after cutting himself smashing a bat in the Nationals' dugout.
Bryce Harper's major league career is still, by far, in its infancy. However, that's not stopping many people from projecting incredible things for him, as they've done since he was 16 years old. The Washington Nationals phenom still has a ways to go until he reaches free agency -- he won't be able to be a free agent until 2018 -- but that doesn't mean some aren...
Washington Nationals rookie outfielder Bryce Harper has a very divisive personality, but his outburst on Friday is something that all fans will agree was completely stupid of him to do.
In the midst of an 0/5, three strikeout game tonight against the Cincinnati Reds, Harper took out his rage on the Nationals dugout, smashing the side of it with his bat after striking out in the...

The reign of T- Money continues and again I want to thank you for taking your precious time to listen to my thoughts. I have made the show more accessible to you by limiting the podcast to ten minutes or less. If you like what you hear the only thing I ask is for you to continue to spread the word to your friends...
Harper literally added injury to insult on Friday
The 19-year old had a night to forget in his first appearance in the Queen City on Friday. His 0-5 showing with three strikeouts led him to lash out in frustration and consequently harm himself. After his fourth at-bat he went down in the tunnel and attempted to take out his anger on an unsuspecting wall with his bat....
Washington Nationals general manager Mike Rizzo has been penalized by Major League Baseball following his remarks about Philadelphia pitcher Cole Hamels.
MLB said Tuesday that Rizzo was disciplined, without providing specifics.
In general, penalties for non-uniformed personnel involve fine.
Rizzo was upset that Hamels hit Nationals rookie Bryce Harper with a pitch on Sunday night...
When Bryce Harper stepped into the batter's box for his first major-league plate appearance April 28 at Dodger Stadium, the usually laid-back LA crowed booed the Nationals rookie outfielder lustily.
Talk about your reputation preceding you.
By now, everyone had heard about Harper's reputation going back to his high school days in Las Vegas. Those were just three years...
Corey and I agree, it’s our best episode yet. Lots of stuff to talk about this week:
Josh Hamilton makes history
Where Hamilton’s game stacks up next to other great performances
Pat rips Cole Hamels for his faux toughness
Bryce Harper steals home
The Nationals are for real
The Blue Jays sign Vlad Guerrero
Adam Dunn’s renaissance
Josh Beckett being booed out of Boston
Mike Leake is still winless, and that's becoming a worry.
Roger Bernadina and Danny Espinosa each hit a two-run homer off Leake on Friday night, setting off one of Washington's biggest scoring splurges of the season and a 7-3 victory over the Cincinnati Reds.
The slow-starting Nationals had scored only three runs in the first inning all season. They had that many before...
The supposed “grand dynasty” that is the Philadelphia Phillies appears to be wavering to this point in 2012. Inconsistent bullpen work, aging players and awful defense have resulted in their resting at the bottom of the NL East 30 games into the season. Some teams would mope and continue to free fall, others would rise up and return to glory, but the Phillies have had a different...
I feel like my judgment on everything is clouded these days by the Red Sox, but I promised that I wouldn’t use this space to vent about Bobby Valentine or the 50,000 things that make me angry about that team. That’s what my Friday column is for. Instead, I’ll see if I can channel the rage that I feel towards the Sox into some good old fashioned negative discussion about a few...
I blogged about this when Stephen Strasburg made his debut, but with 19-year-old Bryce Harper now seemingly in a Nationals uniform to stay the situation has become intolerable. Washington has two of the most exciting, talented, compulsively watchable young players in their lineup that the grand old game has had grace its fields in a long time...
...and neither one of them has...

The Philadelphia Phillies are currently occupying last place in the NL East. Yesterday General Manager, Ruben Amaro Jr. said they could become sellers at the July Trade Deadline (via Jim Salisbury of CSNPhilly.com). “July is so far ahead,” Amaro said. “We just have to get on track. But if July comes and we're playing like this, we'll be sellers. How we play now will...
