By Brian Waller - AngelsWin.com Feature Writer If you are a relatively new fan of the Angels you may not remember Chad Curtis. It’s understandable; after all he only played three seasons with the Halos. Curtis can be described as somewhat of a journeyman, having played for six teams in ten seasons. Curtis was never the biggest, the strongest or the most skilled player on the diamond but a case can be made for him being one of the most dedicated. From the beginning, Curtis never attracted much interest from college baseball recruiters, much less pro scouts. He paid his own way to junior college and three years later was drafted in the 45th round of the 1989 amateur draft. Curtis made his Major League Debut in 1992 and put up solid numbers batting .259 with 10 home runs, 46 runs batted...

2012 Player Profile: Dan Haren

It may have been Jered Weaver getting all of the Cy Young attention in 2011, but a case could be made that Dan Haren was actually better than Weaver last season. Can Haren repeat the same kind of success in 2012 and if so, will it actually get noticed this time? (EDITOR'S NOTE: Due to the early start, not all stat projection systems are available yet, but I will update...

Bill James Predicts The Lansford/Burleson/Hobson Trade Outcome

Back when I was doing the daily series about player birthdays in team history, I ran this for Rick Burleson which detailed the catastrophic trade by the Angels of Carney Lansford, Mark Clear, and Rick Miller to Boston for Rick Burleson and Butch Hobson. That deal turned out to be a catastrophe for the Angels — it was the second such horror in as many years, given the team let...
