It was pretty obvious that Matt Kemp was trying to be made the fall guy for all of the Dodgers' struggles this series, but it was pretty apparent today that the problems run deeper than one man. Juan Pierre did well as his replacement, but the struggles of the entire lineup (besides Manny) with runners in scoring position were the problem. Does this struggle remind you of something? It reminds me of the same old problem for the entire season. New team, same problems. Also, I know almost everybody is already on this bandwagon, but the hitting wouldn't have been such a big issue if Joe Torre hadn't completely proven my point about him being a terrible game manager. 1) Why take Lowe out in the 6th inning? I know he was on 3 days rest, but 74 pitches? He was just starting to turn in good innings too. 2) Why Clayton Kershaw? You worry about him pressuring out to start Game 4, but bringing him in for a one run game in the 6th inning is better? Did Joe Beimel rape Torre's mother? 3) He used 3 pitchers to get 3 outs again. Why exactly does Torre think his bullpen is always wasted? Because they all have to warmup every fucking day. 4) Hong Chih Kuo was absolutely lights out for one inning, but...
