Sometimes things get a little fuzzy after a Sunday afternoon in the pub. Especially when the game goes 15 innings and you left Petco Park after the 10th inning with the game still tied at zero. Here’s a friendly reminder of what you might have missed while you were (day) drinking. Or (designated) driving home.
Long game was long.
The Padres managed to beat the Cubs despite the game being scoreless until the top of the 13th, when the Cubs plated two runs. Fortunately, the Padres managed to tie it up in the bottom of the 13th thanks to “insurance policy” Ronny Cedeno. And finally won after a single by Nick Hundley scored Logan Forsythe in the 15th.
Andrew Cashner pitched 7 scoreless innings, only allowing 2 hits and 1 walk.
The Padres head to Arizona for three games against the Diamondbacks. Tonight Tyson Ross gets the start against Brandon McCarthy at 6:40pm PDT.
