Sometimes one gets a little distracted recovering from a Holiday hangover.  Here’s a friendly reminder of what you might have missed while you were enjoying a little hair of the dog.  The Padres road trip hit its last stop as they made their way to Washington D.C. and back into the National League. The Padres activated Evereth Cabrera from the DL prior to the game. Andrew Cashner didn’t get out of the 3rd inning. On the plus side, Chase Headley looked more like Chase Headley at the plate and Carlos Quentin hit a 3-run HR. The bad news? The Padres losing streak hit 7 games . The Padres are now 40-47 and have fallen into last place. They are now 5.5 games back of first place Arizona after they shutout Colorado.
