While browsing Twitter, I came across a tweet by David Lennon, where he was asked if it is possible the Mets non-tender John Maine next year. Lennon's response? "Possible? It's looking about 80 percent certainty right now."I don't think this news is so shocking, but it will become quite a soap opera while Maine is rehabbing his ailing shoulder, while the likes of RA Dickey and Hisanori Takahashi have pitched quite well in the absences of Maine and Oliver Perez. So well, that if/when Maine returns, Dickey still deserves to stay in the starting rotation. As for Takahashi, he will most likely be returned to the bull pen.How do you feel?
