In a second consecutive light day of Winter League action for Pittsburgh Pirates players, Darren Ford went 3-for-5 with three runs scored, an RBI and his first triple. He also picked up an outfield assist. The center fielder has a .283/.355/.362 line in 127 AB’s. During the regular season, he played just 70 games for Tacoma of the PCL, missing the first two months of the season with a broken finger.
Benji Gonzalez was used as a pinch runner yesterday. He has played four games, recording two hits in six AB’s.
There were no games in the Dominican yesterday, as the only scheduled game was rained out. The league also has off today. The Australian Baseball League is off until Thursday.
In the only action from Saturday, Darren Ford went 0-for-4 with a strikeout, while Anderson Hernandez failed to record a hit in his only AB.
The following Pirates farmhands are on Winter League rosters, but have yet to appear in a game(sorted by league):

Dominican League: Carlos Paulino, Eric Avila
Puerto Rican League: None
Australian League: None(Jackson Lodge and Wilson Lee were originally on the roster of Adelaide, but have since been reassigned to minors)
