Winter meetings a success for Mets..

If your expectation are lower and you except that this is a transition year then the winter meetings were very productive for the Mets.None of the players they obtained are going to win them a World Series but what they do is fill holes that if everything breaks right gives them a chance to be a competitive team without effecting the long term goals. Ronny Paulino is a decent catcher who will be a nice compliment to Josh Thole, while other mediocre catchers are getting two year deal the Mets were able to grab Paulino for 1yr. at 1.3M.Then they improved the Pen by adding D.J. Carrasco, who got a two year deal but at a cost many relievers would get per year ( 2yrs-2.25M). When you add rule five pick-up, Beato to the mix the Mets have a solid pen from the right side with: K-Rod, Parnell, Iggy, Carrasco, Beato, Acosta and Alvarez.
