Andy Pettitte, the five-time World Series champ and one of the best big-game pitchers in Yankee history, put the final wraps on his career, making the official announcement in a press conference at Yankee Stadium on Friday. Brian Cashman and Joe Girardi sat in the audience, as did former teammate Bernie Williams, as Pettitte, flanked by his wife Laura, explained that the desire to compete just wasn't there anymore.
