Would this be a fitting tribute to Harry Kalas?

Im thinking that since the Phillies have other statues scattered around Citizens Bank Park of important figures in Phillies history, why not make one of Harry Kalas? He was as much a part of the Phillies as anyone for 38 years. The fans loved him and the team loved him, so it would make sense right? The link is to an online petition that i set up.   • Good idea about the statue, and how about, every time a Phillie hits a homerun, the PA systems plays Harry saying "that ball is OUTTAAAA HEEERRE!" Only for Phillies homers though.

Another great idea that 610wip brought up yesterday was during the 7th inning stretch instead of singing god bless America, they should have harry on the big screen singing high hopes. Also I like what GMAN said that they should have him saying outta here for phils homers

  • I just read on csnphilly.com that they are going to play "its outta here" on Phillies home run calls. They will also name the broadcast booth "Harry Kalas broadcast booth" and they will show a video of high hopes on Phanavision during the 7th inning stretch.

  • Yea those are very good ideas. These seem like things that they would do based on the things they have done before. Like naming centerfield ashburn alley and they all ready have 'Harry The K's" restaurant in left field so I think that they will be open to all these ideas.
