Oy vey! New York Yankees slugger Alex Rodriguez is acting up again, and as a fan I don’t appreciate his antics. A-Rod is not exactly the poster boy for good judgment off the baseball field. But considering the current state of the Yankees offense, A-Rod could be a little more selfless about his health. Here is a timeline of A-Rod’s latest public antics that are messing with Yankee fans heads. 05/13/13 at 10:10am - Joins twitter. Here is A-Rod’s first tweet: back to basics. http://t.co/MFCHhwdiC1 — Alex Rodriguez (@AROD) May 31, 2013 06/25/13 at 7pm - With seven rehab updates in between, A-Rod’s scandalous tweet came on this day. And he hasn’t tweeted since. Visit from Dr. Kelly over the weekend, who gave me the best news – the green light to play games again! http://t.co/RuzfXOJjHI — Alex Rodriguez (@AROD) June 25, 2013 06/25/13 at 10:39pm - ESPN New York Andrew Marchand reports that Yankees GM Brian Cashman is furious with A-Rod’s decision to tweet that update. Cashman’s exact re...

  • I'm not trying to be an ARod apologist, but what the hell is wrong with the guy saying that his doctor has given him a clean bill of health? It's not like he tried to say exactly when he would be back in the lineup. I would expect him to be excited about being able to play again. Cashman back pedaled and apologized for his unprofessional response, he should have just talked to ARod behind the scenes and advised him to curb his public enthusiasm in the future. Everyone wants to rip this guy and I admit he brings much of it on himself, but being excited about getting back on the field is no reason to jack the guy up. Lord knows the Yankees need their star playersback and soon.

Alex Rodriguez says he feels great and his relationship with the New York Yankees is fine. Rodriguez didn't indicate when he will start a minor league injury rehabilitation assignment or rejoin the big league team, saying Saturday he "can't wait to get back." The drama surrounding Alex Rodriguez and his potential return to the New York Yankees is growing by the day. Earlier this week, Rodriguez took to Twitter to express his excitement over the news he received from his doctor regarding his injured hip. How Alex Rodriguez Destroyed Baseball, for me.

It’s something most sports guys do several times in their life, they engage in a conversation about the “greatest”. An informed individual respects history and it’s greatest figures as they try to build their All-Time lineup. In baseball, you have to consider Ted Williams, Willie Mays, Ty Cobb, and Babe Ruth to make your discussion relevant. Eventually though, you would get...

Alex Rodriguez Should Retire…

Yes its been said before this year, in fact its probably been said for quite some time now. But right now looks like possibly the best time for Alex Rodriguez to announce that he would effective immediately retire from professional baseball. He’s been on a steep decline since the 2010 season. Ending after that season might’ve been the smartest time to do it but since he is...

Yankees Rumors: New York in third baseman market

The Yankees are in need of a third baseman since Alex Rodriguez is hurt and facing a possible suspension. While the Yankees have faced injuries to Mark Teixeira, Alex Rodriguez, Curtis Granderson and Derek Jeter, they still have found a way to remain in contention. To be honest, I can't believe it and neither can many reporters throughout the league. The Yankees, according...

Yankees: Time to go to plan B

Let’s me get right to the point, the New York Yankees need some help now!  New York Yankees (Photo credit: Keith Allison) GM Brian Cashman has to make a trade for a legitimate hitter ASAP, or else this team’s 2013 season is as good as over. Yes, wounded players like Derek Jeter, Alex Rodriguez and Curtis Granderson are slowly getting healthy, but regrettably Father Time is...

Column: What part of 'shut ... up' did A-Rod miss?

(Eds: With AP Photos.) By JIM LITKE AP Sports Writer The instructions were so simple it makes you wonder what part of ''just shut ... up'' Alex Rodriguez didn't understand. Yankees GM Brian Cashman's directive the other day was calibrated for maximum effect, sure. He knew exactly what he was doing. It's why he tucked a profanity in the middle. But Cashman...

In Saying He Won't Be A Distraction, Jeter Shows Rare Support Of A-Rod

I'm usually upset when I have to miss a weekday Yankee game.  Yesterday, however, as I checked my phone while I sat waiting to see my doctor, I realized that missing this particular game was a good thing.  The result was far from surprising. Derek Holland might have pitched a complete game shutout even if the Yankees' A lineup had faced him. That A lineup is still very far...

Jeter progresses to live at-bats

Derek Jeter has joined teammate Alex Rodriguez in hitting against minor league pitching. Coming back from a broken left ankle, Jeter had an opposite-field single to right in six at-bats Friday against a minor league right-hander.
