English: CC Sabathia (left) and Mark Teixeira (Photo credit: Wikipedia) Most baseball fans probably read this already either in the NY Daily News, NY Post or any national newspaper that New York Yankees fans ace CC Sabathia has an appointment with Dr. James Andrews this week. The doctor’s visit is to get answers about why Sabathia’s left elbow, the one that landed on the 15-day DL back on August 11th, is still aching. An MRI revealed a bone spur, which the Yankees claim was there well before he was Yankee. Sabathia admitted that he never experienced elbow pain before this past August, and that the pain had not gone away...

Yankees Injury News: C.C. Sabathia Will Have Elbow Checked Out

C.C. Sabathia was both dominant and horrible in the 2012 postseason.  Such is the case when a team must battle through adversity and keep their intensity level at its highest point for a month.  The New York Yankees were swept out of the American League Championship Series two days ago by the Detroit Tigers.  This was with Sabathia on the hill.  Sabathia struggled, and the Yankees...

Cashman will listen to offers for A-Rod

Alex Rodriguez is no longer a superstar, and while a trade is "unrealistic," all offers for the high-priced slugger will be considered, Yankees GM Brian Cashman said Sunday. Cashman, speaking on "Sunday Morning with Ian O'Connor" on ESPNNewYork 98.7 FM, said there's "no doubt" in his mind that Rodriguez will be the Yanks' starting third...

2012 LCS Review

The Tigers are moving on to the World Series in impressive faction by sweeping the Yankees and scoring almost more runs in a single game (8) than the Orioles did in the entire five game series against New York (10). Former Indians factored largely in the final game with Jhonny Peralta hitting a two run home run off C.C. Sabathia, the crushing blow that cemented the Tigers victory...

Yankee fans vote to dump A-Rod, Swish and Grandy in polls

Brian Cashman is going to have his hands full when he starts working the offseason phones this winter.  But, if it were up to New York Yankees fans, he could start by dumping Alex Rodriguez, Nick Swisher and Curtis Granderson right off the bat and nary a fan would cry — at least around 75% wouldn't. In two separate New York tabloid polls, The New York Post and the New York...

Denial is not just a river in Egypt -- It's the state of the Yankees

History's greatest unexplained mysteries include Easter Island, the disappearance of Amelia Earhart, and why the Yankees got swept in the ALCS. At least that's what Yankees president Randy Levine seems to be claiming. He told the New York Times that "there was a total collapse in the A.L.C.S. that was very surprising. Why did that happen? Nobody will ever know."...
