The Yankees re-signed minor league veteran infielder Doug Bernier today, but cut 14 other players, according to Matt Eddy of Baseball America. Those minor leaguers are RHP Jim Blueberg, RHP Francisco Cruceta, RHP Nathan Forer, RHP Mike Gipson, RHP Dustin Hobbs, RHP Corey Maines, RHP Mike Recchia, RHP Michael Solbach, LHP Trevor Johnson, C Jon Hurst, 2B Emerson Landoni, OF Mike Ferraro, OF Taylor Grote, OF Bobby Rinard. I have been preparing my own Top 40 Yankees Prospects list and none of these guys were even in consideration to make the list. The only one I am real familiar with is outfielder Taylor Grote, who had a ton of confidence, but failed to make it after being drafted out of high school. Some of these guys may find other teams to latch on to, but in reality most of them are going to have to go out and find real jobs. Hopefully the ones who got bonus money have some of it left over.
