Hiroki Kuroda has been one of the best starters this year for the club. They hope for another stellar performance tonight in order to maintain the division lead.

C.C. Sabathia made his return from the DL last night in a big way. He looked better than 100% after going 7.1 innings, allowing four hits, just one earned run, and struck out nine batters as the Yankees picked up a much-needed win and slightly extended their narrow division lead.

Tonight they will look for more of the same from Hiroki Kuroda, who has been one of the team’s most consistent starters all season. The pressure can’t lie all on him though. Besides Derek Jeter, who seems to be hitting anything thrown his way, the rest of the Bomber lineup has hit another rough patch, failing to produce many runs or move runners in scoring position again.

With under 40 games left on the schedule, and both the Tampa Rays and Baltimore Orioles right on their heels, the Yankees need to get on another role in order to maintain that top AL East spot and roll into the postseason hot.

Jeter fumes after pitcher throws at his head

There was a scary moment during the second inning of Friday night's New York Yankees-Cleveland Indians game after Derek Jeter took an inside pitch from Corey Kluber to the side of his head. The Yankees shortstop didn't take the brushback lightly and walked to first base glaring at the young pitcher and mouthing the words, "You don't do that." The fastball went...

Is Derek Jeter ‘Above’ steroid Accusations?

Skip Bayless opened the flood gates on the topic of Jeter and steroids on Wednesday when he questioned if the 38-year-old was having an amazing season through the use of PED’s. Now, it’s not as if Skip (even with all his trollish foilbles) pulled this question out of thin air, after 2 major players have been caught using banned substances this past week alone. Was Skip within...

Open Letter to Joe Girardi: It is time to put your best hitter - Derek Jeter - batting third

Dear Madam or Sir,It is said that next door neighbors cannot savor the Grand Canyon. Usher grew tired of Heidi Klum's face. By 60, Pete Townsend couldn't hear a note the Who was playing. One tragic flaw of humanity is our incredible ability to overlook the obvious. So let us now state the obvious:The heart of the Yankees should bat in the heart of their order.Bat...

Yankees Manager Joe Girardi Says Rant Was About Protecting His Family

New York Yankees manager Joe Girardi wasn't a very happy man last Wednesday. During an interview with the media after a loss to the Chicago White Sox, Girardi yelled at a fan who heckled at him.Girardi has surely been heckled many times before, being that he is the manager of one of the most popular sports franchises in the world. However, it was personal this time when his family...

A Bit Of Perspective

Just because Michael Pineda is 65 pounds overweight, and just because he likes to get drunk every night while working out, doesn't mean he is not worth the king's ransom in kind and in salary we dealt for him.He is, my sources say, the most interesting overnight guest in the Palm County jail.A great joke teller.                                       ...

It seems like almost on a daily basis Bayless insults some athlete, only he generally targets the ones who most fans admire. It is his entire persona. Bayless makes ignorant sounding comments just so that he can continue his shameless...
