New York will send their workhorse, C.C. Sabathia, to the mound today in game one of a three-game set against the Tampa Bay Rays. In his last outing against the Jays, Sabathia went seven innings, allowing five runs (two earned) on nine hits while striking out eight for the loss.

Alex Rodriguez is back in the lineup after missing 36 games with a fractured left hand.

Curtis Granderson (right hamstring tendinitis) is not in today’s lineup.

Right-hander James Shields (12-8, 3.91 ERA) is on the mound for the Rays.
