New York Yankees
Boston Red Sox
The Yankees head out West for an 11-day, 10-game road trip beginning with the Seattle Mariners. Ichiro returns to Seattle where he played for 12 seasons, winning gold gloves and setting all-time records along the way. Phil Hughes gets the ball looking to find his groove again. Hughes has been “Jekyll and Hyde” this year, turning in a good start, bad start, good start. Last time out was bad, as he gave up five runs on seven hits in 4.1 innings against the Red Sox. Aaron Harang gets the start for the M’s.

The Yankees last night picked two college sluggers with their first picks. The reality is this: By the time either reaches the Show - if either does - the odds are pretty good that John Sterling will no longer be the Voice of the Yankees, driven by Jeep. He's on one-year contracts, and it seems every winter, the brass ponders an offer from ESPN. One of these years, well... But...
Thanks to Phil Hughes, the New York Yankees could get away with only one inning of offense.
What an inning it was.
Robinson Cano hit a three-run homer and Mark Teixeira followed with a solo shot as part of New York's six-run third inning Thursday night, and Hughes took a shutout into the eighth for the Yankees in a 6-1 win over the Seattle Mariners.
Cano and Teixeira were...
Get the brooms out. After coming off what might be hist best start of the season, CC Sabathia takes the ball with hopes of sweeping away the Cleveland Indians this afternoon from the Stadium. On the offensive side, Mark Teixeira has almost single-handedly won this series for the Yankees, connecting on two homers and driving in seven through the first two games. Notoriously a slow...
The New York Yankees selected Ian Clarkin, a left-handed pitcher out of San Diego, with the 33rd overall pick in Thursday's MLB draft.
Clarkin had a 0.95 ERA and struck out 133 batters in 73-1/3 innings this year -- and he is thought to have top-of-the-rotation stuff, particularly a devastating curveball that has drawn comparisons to Dodgers ace Clayton Kershaw. So it's...
Injuries continue to haunt the New York Yankees. On June 4, shortstop Eduardo Nunez, already on the disabled list with a strained left oblique, aggravated his injury while taking batting practice. Nunez had been working out since last Saturday without reporting any pain, but he had not swung a bat much until Tuesday.
The New York Times' Jorge Arangure reports that Nunez will...
New York Yankees star Alex Rodriguez is catching static from all angles.
There is drama and then there is just insanity and real estate mogul Donald Trump lives to dip his toes into the latter.
His latest Twitter rant is good for a nice chuckle.

Major League Baseball is reportedly in the process of cutting a deal with Anthony Bosch that could result in a hefty suspension for Alex Rodriguez, Ryan Braun and nearly two dozen other MLB players. Back in April, the New York Times reported that MLB had paid some former Biogenesis employees for documents related to the [...]
The lawyer who helped overturn Ryan Braun's drug suspension last year has been added to Alex Rodriguez's legal team.
David Cornwell has joined Jay Reisinger to represent Rodriguez in baseball's drug investigation, a person familiar with the hiring said Friday. The person spoke on condition of anonymity because no announcement was authorized.

These emails were sent from the New York Yankees Media Relations Department to members of the media covering Yankees games at events at Yankee Stadium. The NY Yankees charged (and possibly still charge) the media $40-$50 for parking at some events they cover.
Yes, charging the media to park when they cover, come and provide free publicity for the Yankees.
Hold on, it gets even better...
Major League Baseball is about to hand down the biggest set of suspensions in history, and all those involved can thank Alex Rodriguez for not opening up his wallet.
The New York Daily News is reporting that the owner of the Miami anti-aging clinic at the center of baseball’s latest doping scandal, Anthony Bosch, asked injured Yankees star Alex Rodriguez for financial help...
The Yankees are now 3-0 since Monday's International Juju Intervention.Certainly, we at IIHIIFIIc do not claim credit. The Yankee players had a huge role. We salute them and everyone within the Yankee fan base- (you know who you are) - who contributed badly needed Juju to our boys in the field.Juju on!
The MLB First-Year Player Draft kicked off on Thursday and the Yankees did themselves some good by selecting three times in the 1st round, thanks to some compensations help for losing Nick Swisher and Rafael Soriano. Here are all three 1st round picks:
Pick #26: Eric Jagielo, 3rd baseman, Notre Dame.
Jagielo is a 6-foot-3, left handed third baseman coming out of Notre Dame. Below...
How can I vote more often?"Youk is not a Yank and never will be. He is a sanctimonious, money grubbing has-been who hurt the Yankees when it mattered and is not helping them when it doesn't." So what if this is illogical?Doe he ever get a key hit?Does he spend more time on rehab than in uniform?Does he make more doing nothing than all of us combined?Signing him...
