The New York Yankees are expected to offer closer Mariano Rivera a pay cut of around $5 million, reports CBSSports.com. Rivera, 43, made $15 million last season, but reported estimates have the Yankees offering him around $10 million for next season.   Rivera, who is coming off of season-ending knee surgery, told Yankees GM Brian Cashman that he wanted to pitch next season. "It's like the Red Sox with Jason Varitek or Andy Pettitte with the Yankees last year. The Yankees know he won't pitch anywhere else," said one person familiar with their thinking.  The Yankees are also trying to workout a deal with Rivera's replacement Rafael Soriano.  The team has made the $13.3 million qualifying offer, but he isn't likely to accept it.  If a deal is going to be made the Yankees will likely have to offer more years and more money.
