The New York Yankees have signed outfielders Matt Diaz, Juan Rivera and Thomas Neal, infielder Dan Johnson and catcher Bobby Wilson to minor league contracts with invitations to spring training.
The Yankees also announced Thursday they have invited 44 players to camp. Among the group were first-round picks Slade Heathcott, an outfielder from the 2009 draft, and Cito Culver, a shortstop selected in 2010. Top catching prospect Gary Sanchez also is on the list.
Agreements with Rivera, who played for the Yankees from 2001-03, and Diaz were previously reported.
The Yankees will be Bobby Wilson's third team this offseason. He was released in October by the Angels, and he was not offered a contract by Toronto in December. In 389 career at-bats, he's batting .208 with eight homers and 37 RBIs.
