Yankees' Wade rebounds from Monday's loss by inducing key strikeout

Cory Wade's week started off on a sour note, as the New York Yankees reliver gave up Mark Trumbo's walk-off home run in Monday night's loss to the Los Angeles Angels. But Wade, who started his big-league career four years ago up the freeway with the Los Angeles Dodgers, got a chance to redeem himself before leaving Southern California. With the Yankees clinging to a 6-5 lead in the seventh inning Wednesday, manager Joe Girardi called on Wade to face Howie Kendrick with runners at the corners. Wade fell behind 3-0, but he battled back with a pair of called strikes before Kendrick fouled off three straight pitches, the first two on curveballs. After watching Kendrick foul off an 89 mph sinker, Wade came back with another curveball, getting Kendrick to swing through the 74 mph pitch for the third out.
