NEW YORK—Joba Chamberlain completed six innings to log his first victory in more than a month and Alex Rodriguez belted career home run No. 581, as the Yankees defeated the Red Sox on Friday at Yankee Stadium, 9-5. Unleashed from most of the innings restrictions that have accompanied his most recent starts, Chamberlain seemed to enjoy the newfound freedom, retiring the first 11 Red Sox he faced until Victor Martinez broke up the string with a solo home run, his 22nd, in the fourth inning. That was… unexpected.  Joba pitching well and the Yankees hitting Jon Lester hard?
