There isn't even a game today, so it's still all about Pedro and Boras.--[Dejan] breaks down the situation like this: MLBPA filed a grievance because of the supposed deadline extension (that applied throughout MLB, not just to us). The two sides (MLBPA vs. the Commissioner's Office) will each present a case to arbiter Shyam Das on September 10, and Das will decide what happens. If Das rules in MLB's favor, everything is OK. If Das rules in MLBPA's favor, there are three potential outcomes:1. The negotiations restart and the previous contract is eliminated (this is what Boras wants).2. Pedro goes back in the draft next year (this would be VERY bad for both Pedro and the Pirates).3.
