Cespedes is expected to be granted free agency shortly by Major League Baseball, and the Florida Miami Marlins are considered early favorites to land him.
According to scouts, Cespedes has star potential. He comes in at six-feet, 215 pounds, and is right-handed all the way around. He has considerable power – he broke the Cuban record for home runs with 33 in just 90 games this past season – and claims he is 26 years old…but of course, such claims are always dubious for Latin players.
