Every morning, we compile the links of the day and dump them here... highlighting the big storyline. Because there's nothing quite as satisfying as a good morning dump. With travel bags littered across the clubhouse floor and the Red Sox players ready to go wheels up for a 10-game trip against West Coast teams, there was a sense of turning the page quickly following yesterday’s 8-2 interleague victory over the Padres at Fenway Park. [...] “We’ve just been playing the game right,” said Red Sox second baseman Dustin Pedroia, who finished 2-for-4 with two RBI. “We’ve been doing a lot of things well and we’ve got to continue to do that on a long trip. It’s been fun. The homestand was great, but we’ve got to get out to the West Coast and play well.” Playing good baseball was seen all over Fenway Park by the home team the last week and a half as the Red Sox kept pace in the AL East with their league-leading 53rd win of the season. Late-game heroics produced two walkoff victories in the 10 games, but yesterday any flare for the dramatic was saved for the Esplanade later in the night. Herald: Sox hit the road with hot hand Very hot indeed. Winners of their last 4, and 8-2 in their last 10. Jacoby Ellsbury is riding a 14-game hitting streak. John Lackey and company are pitching well. The Sox are hitting well as a team, or finding ways to win when they are not. It is all clicking right now. The Sox make their first stop in Anaheim, to visit the 41-44 Angels. They have been struggling to keep their heads above water. The Sox are 2-1 against the Angels this season. They then head up to Seattle to go up against a terrible Mariners team for the first time this season. The Mariners are 11 games under .500 as of now and will likely be in that neighborhood next week. The biggest test will be the Oakland A's, who are atop the West at 50-36. The A's are very dominant this season and will give the Sox some big trouble. The A's are doing it with pitching, again, and are doing it well. The Sox won 2-of-3 earlier this season, and can very well do it again with the way they have been swinging their bats. I will be surprised if the Sox do any worse than 6-4 on this trip which will lead to the All-Star break. The rest of the links: Globe: Red Sox will be tested on 10-game West Coast trip | Padres swept by Red Sox, extending skid to 6 games | Allen Webster does the job in earning first big league win | Florida QB Driskel signs contract with Red Sox | CSNNE: Farrell: Sox had very good offensive approach | Red Sox Notes: Pedroia not analyzing success | WEEI: David Ortiz on Yasiel Puig, Jose Iglesias and the All-Star Game: 'You don't hate, you appreciate' | Herald: Despite issues, Sox don't need changes | Notebook: Long drought over for Jacoby Ellsbury |  Allen Webster works hard for No. 1
