Every morning, we compile the links of the day and dump them here... highlighting the big storyline. Because there's nothing quite as satisfying as a good morning dump. I would trade Ryan Kalish, Franklin Morales, and two minor leaguers for Michael Morse to play first base. What do you think of the trade proposal? Art, Huntsville, Ala.He’s an interesting guy who does indeed fit well. Took him a while to get going in Seattle and then in Washington, where he became a platoon player and then a full time player. A career path similar to David Ortiz. He would be a good fit in Boston, no doubt, but you don’t want to give up the farm to get him. That was the whole point of trying to sign Mike Napoli. Globe: Is Morse a viable option for the Sox?  First off, LOL to that trade proposal. Second, I think that the Sox should trade for Morse even if they finally sign Mike Napoli. While his numbers declined from his incredible and somehow quiet 2011 season, he's still good for .290/25/75. He can be insurance for Napoli just in case his hip goes and even be the fourth outfielder. It won't be overcrowded either, there's playing time for someone that has a good a bat as his does.  Now despite Washington signing Adam LaRoche to a contract extension, they won't just give away someone like The Beast. It would take a decent prospect to snatch him away. Not a Rubby de la Rosa type player, maybe someone like Brock Holt. Definitely not that deal the reader suggested to Cafardo. Again... LOL.    Rest of the Links: Herald: Fuel for Rocket booster | CSNNE: Sox prospect Hassan up to the challenge |
