Anthony Rizzo and Alfonso Soriano hit home runs and David DeJesus added a double and a triple; the Cubs had 9 extra base hits. Alexi Ogando only lasted 2.1 innings, the shortest outing he has ever had as a starter. Note- Carlos Marmol pitched a perfect non-save ninth with two strikeouts(The series split 1-1).Mets 3 v Rockies 11: Jonathan Niese notches a quality start, but the Mets bullpen imploded. Troy Tulowitski, Dexter Fowler, and Josh Rutledge hit home runs and Wilin Rosario registered his third stolen base.  (Colorado swept the series 3-0).Tigers 0 v Mariners 2: Do not doubt Hisashi Iwakuma. He threw 6 innings of zero run ball against one of the best offenses in the league, giving up only three hits. Justin Verlander only gave up 2 ER and struck out 12, but his offense was unable to help him. Kyle Seager and Kendrys Morales belted doubles for the Mariners and Prince Fielder added one for the Tigers. Patrick Corbin pitched seven strong, but recorded a no decision.  Didi Gregorious hit a double and a home run in his first game as a Diamondback. (New York won the series 2-1).Cardinals 4 v Phillies 3: Edward Mujica registered his first save of the season and may be the Cardinals new closer, as Boggs had plenty of rest. Adam Wainwright and Cole Hamels both pitched 7 innings and allowed 3 runs. (St Louis leads the series 1-0).Braves 6 v Pirates 4: Evan Gattis hit a go-ahead home run in the 8thand Craig Kimbrel recorded his 7th save. Julio Teheran continued to be below-average, allowing 4 ER in 5 IP. Justin Upton hit his 9thhome run of the season. Chris Sale gave up 3 runs, two earned, and registered the loss. Casey Janssen pitched a perfect 9th for his 5th save. Rajai Davis hit a double and stole two bases. (The series split 2-2).Marlins 1 v Reds 11: The youngster Jose Fernandez was roughed up by the Reds, allowing 5 earned runs over 4 IP. On the opposite side, Tony Cingrani looked sharp in his call-up striking out 8 and allowing only 1 run in 5 IP. Todd Fraziet hit his 5th home run of the year and Justin Ruggiano hit his second.
