Yuniesky Betancourt will most likely be the Milwaukee Brewers starting shortstop along with Craig Counsell backing him up. Did the Brewers upgrade, stay the same or downgrade at shortstop?  Betancourt has logged six seasons in MLB with Seattle and Kansas City. He  is a lifetime .272 hitter and last season he did hit 16 home runs and drove in 78 runs the most in his career. The one big drawback to Yuniesky Betancourt is the high amount of errors that he has. Last season he had 18 errors in 151 games. He has averaged close to 20 a season with 150 or more games played. His career fielding percentage is .970 and has been erratic at times.  Betancourt has a lot of talent, but he has not been able to put it all together just yet. Maybe a change of scenery is what he needs. The Brewers have a good backup in Craig Counsell, so if Betancourt does struggle the Brewers should be okay. Over the long term though if Betancourt determines to be a bust the Brewers will need to look for someone else...
