That's Amber on her knees (left). Suddenly, Barry's porn 'stache makes sense.

Death. Taxes. Hot chicks at Barry Zito’s bachelor pad.

There aren’t many things in life that are certain, and now you can go ahead and cross Zito’s playboy days off the short list.

According to the San Francisco Chronicle, the 33-year old Giants pitcher is getting married, joining teammates Brandon Crawford (who is on his honeymoon in Hawaii right now) and Nate Schierholtz (who’s about to marry his high school sweetheart) as the latest non-eligibles in the ol’ fish market.

At least Pat Burrell and Brian Wilson are still single, right ladies?

Zito walked into the Marin County Clerk’s office a couple of Fridays ago with former Miss Missouri Amber Marie Seyer to file a marriage license.

The wedding is supposedly this Saturday.

Say what?

You heard right. The guitar-slinging man who once dated the likes of Alyssa Milano, Lauren German, and Paris Hilton and carries pink satin pillows on the road (don’t ask) is trading in his rock band for a wedding band.

Seyer appeared on NBC’s Identity game show (starring Penn Jilette) in 2007 and revealed to the world (or at least the few hundred viewers who watched the doomed TV show) that she was once a pig farmer. She hasn’t done much since winning the Miss Missouri USA pageant in ’07. She did star in a Superbowl XLIII ad that ended up being banned by the network. Oh, and she’s the spokeswoman for EarnMyDegree.com. I just did a quick Google search for her and found that most of her pictures these days are of the “clothing optional” variety.

Which probably suits the quirky Zito just fine.

When the clerk at the county office asked if Zito wanted a confidential marriage license application, supposedly he said, “Just give me the public one. I’m over myself.”

Many Giants fans have been over Zito since he has failed to live up to the 7-year, $126 million contract he was given back in 2002.

I’m going to go out on a limb here and say that Zeets was smart enough to coax his 25-year old bride-to-be into signing a pre-nup.

I hope you enjoyed reading "Zito to marry porn star?." I'm interested in your opinion on this article. Why not leave a comment at 22gigantes.com?

SF Giants Rumors: Free Agents, Trades, Payroll, Lincecum and Cain

John Shea of the San Francisco Chronicle reports there will be no big splash additions for the San Francisco Giants and the 2012 payroll will be $130 million. Giants GM Brian Sabean will be in Dallas next week for the winter meetings, and is open to trades and free agency.“There won’t be a big splash,” said Sabean.VP of Baseball Operations, Bobby Evans said he has...

Baseball America's Giants 2012 Top 10 Prospects

The Baseball America digital edition landed in my inbox this afternoon and I was quite happy that this issue was the NL West Prospect preview. The Giants top 10 list is a bit different than the one that I was putting together but the Baseball America scouts did have some nice things to say about the Giants prospects. Here is the top 10 list and a bit of the future blurb for each...

Giants extend contracts of Bochy, GM Sabean

The San Francisco Giants extended the contracts of Bruce Bochy and general manager Brian Sabean through the 2013 season. The team holds a club option for both men for the 2014 season. Bochy directed the Giants to a World Series championship in 2010, but the team finished eight games behind Arizona in the National League West last season. In five seasons with the Giants, Bochy...

Nats pursuing DeRosa

The Washington Nationals are reportedly interested in signing free agent Mark DeRosa, according to MLB.com writer Bill Ladson. DeRosa, 36, was a bust in his two years with the Giants. After being signed to a two-year, $12 million contract in 2010, the oft-injured utility man played in just 73 games, due to a series of problems with his wrist. DeRosa batted .194/.279/.258 with 1...

On this date in Giants history — Nov. 30

(All entries courtesy nationalpastime.com) 2010: The Dodgers sign free agent Juan Uribe to a three-year, $21 million deal to play second base for the team. The enthusiastic and versatile 31-year-old Dominican infielder, who was part of the Giants’ 2010 World Series championship run, also gives new manager Don Mattingly more options at shortstop and third base. Uribe would...

Sabean: No 'Big Splash' Additions

Appearing at a news conference Tuesday to answer questions about his new extension, Brian Sabean also discussed the ongoing free agency period and the Giants plans for adding players in order to compete for another World Series title. And his answers should make Giants fans just about as happy as hearing that the Giants are trying to trade someone who's $5 million option they...

On the Sabean Extension

It’s relatively easy to objectively evaluate players. That’s not the case with managers or GMs, however — though I gave my best shot at it earlier with respect to the Bochy extension. Now, I’ll tackle the Sabean extension. The fact of the matter is, the process of an organization’s decision-making extends beyond the GM. Always. He often gets all the...

Top 50 Prospects: #34 – Gary Brown

#34 Gary Brown San Francisco Giants DOB: 9/28/1988 Previous Rank: N/R ETA: 2013 After a brilliant career at Fullerton, the Giants wisely selected Brown with the 24th overall pick in 2010.  In his first full season of professional baseball, Brown slashed an absurd .336/.407/.519 with over 60 hits for extra bases and 53 stolen bases for San Jose.  I guess you could say that...

Pablo Sandoval: Jack-Be-Nimble, Jack-Be-Quick

He didn’t win a Gold Glove. He didn’t win a Fielding Bible Award. But Pablo Sandoval may be the best defensive third baseman in the National League, if not the majors. Yes, I’m a San Francisco Giants fan. A season-ticket holder, in fact. So I do see a lot of Sandoval at the hot corner over the course of the season. But neither my fandom nor my eyes have blinded...

Money Talks, and Off-Season Moves May Surprise

With contract extensions completed for General Manager Brian Sabean and Manager Bruce Bochy through 2013, the San Francisco Giants' management group is now free to fully concentrate another extension: playing baseball deep into October 2012.And that brings us to two related areas of interest: the team's 2012 payroll budget, and the final 2012 25-man roster might look like...

Giants extend Sabean, Bochy through 2013 (AP)

General manager Brian Sabean and manager Bruce Bochy have received contract extensions taking them through the 2013 season with club options for 2014, moves that were expected this winter. CEO Larry Baer had been committed during the offseason to keeping both men with the organization after they were instrumental in the team's 2010 World Series championship, the first for the...

Bochy, Sabean extended by Giants

The San Francisco Giants announced on Tuesday that they have extended the contracts of both manager Bruce Bochy and general manager Brian Sabean, keeping them with the team through the 2013 campaign with a club option for 2014.
