Yankees’ Damaso Marte Hopes to Return by July
The Yankees left handed specialist Damaso Marte is expected to miss most, if not all of this season, after he had labrum surgery in his left shoulder. He was in the Yankees camp yesterday though and said he said he should start throwing soon and expects to be back by July.
“I think I can pitch this season because I feel very good,” Marte said.

Yankees Damaso Marte Has Surgery, Out Until Mid-2011

[Damaso Marte] had labrum surgery on Friday and won’t throw until after the all-star break. Oddly enough, he took that as good news. Marte was worried that surgery would mean the end of his career.

A.J. Leaves Game With Injury, Marte Headed To The DL
Burnett left the game in the third inning with what appeared to be an injury of some sort. He didn't look hurt, but Gene Monahan accompanied Joe Girardi to the mound and Burnett walked off the field with Monahan.
