Einar Diaz is born in Chiriqui, Panama. Diaz, who would spend eleven seasons in the Major Leagues, began that path after signing as an amateur free agent with the Cleveland Indians in 1990. He debuted as a September call up in 1996 and appeared in four games that season. He made five appearances in 1997 and 17 more in 1998 before becoming a regular backstop for the club in 1999,...
