Blue Jays place Ben Francisco on DL
The Toronto Blue Jays placed outfielder Ben Francisco on the 15-day disabled list with a left hamstring strain while optioning left-hander Evan Crawford to triple-A Las Vegas.
The Jays also recalled first baseman David Cooper from Las Vegas on Friday and selected the contract of right-hander Ryota Igarashi from the Triple-A club.
