Angels' Wilson claimed off waivers by Toronto
A 10-year stint in the Angels organization, including the last two as a big league reserve, came to an abrupt end for Bobby Wilson on Monday when the catcher was claimed off waivers by the Toronto Blue Jays, a move that clears the way for Hank Conger to be the Angels' No. 2 catcher.

Bobby Wilson quits Twitter with saddest tweet possible
Angels backup catcher Bobby Wilson announced on Twitter Thursday that he was done with the social media service because he couldn’t stand the negativity:
I’m done with twitter. Try to be fan friendly and all I get is criticism. I wasn’t blessed with 5 tools. I worked hard to get here.

Wilson shaky to start; Rays shut out Angels
ANAHEIM, Calif. (AP) -- Matt Moore outpitched C.J. Wilson, scattering four hits over 6 1-3 innings, and Ben Zobrist homered to lead the Tampa Bay Rays past the Los Angeles Angels 3-0 Saturday night.
Moore (7-7) struck out six to increase his season total to 112, second-most among rookies behind Texas' Yu Darvish. The 23-year-old lefty pitched a career-high eight innings in his...

Game Recap 6/26/12: Mr.Overrated - Angels 7 Orioles 3
Looks like "Mr. Overrated" C.J Wilson is making it his personal mission to decimate every single player who voted him as most overrated starting pitcher, and since we can't really know who voted for him since these things are "anonymous" he's just gone ahead and decided to slice through every player in the league. Blind fury is what C.J Wilson has been...
Angels catchers in the rye
Historically, there has always been a major deficiency in some facet of Angel's catchers. Bobby Wilson is hitting roughly .175, with 3 RBIs, and recorded his first extra-base hit of the season Wednesday (in 35 games). His stolen base percentage against him is .750, leaving room to improve. Chris Iannetta, John Hester, and Hank Conger are .818, .857, and .714 respectively. None...
How C.J. WIlson's 'positive mental attitude' saved the Angels season
There is no crying in baseball, but apparently there is plenty of warm and fuzzy feelings or so the 2012 Angels season seems to suggest.
After struggling mightily for the first month of 2012, the Halos have magically turned things around despite a still inconsistent lineup to get right back into the thick of the AL West race. And they did it not by calling up Mike Trout to give...

My oh My! Top play of the week for the Seattle Mariners (video)
How ’bout some D for once
This week I am going to be doing a defensive segment, instead of the usual offensive plays. There were a couple “web gems” to choose from, but the one I picked was Brendan Ryan throwing out Bobby Wilson on a very impressive play.
I know a lot of Mariners fans are fed up with the play of Brendan Ryan this year, I include myself in this list, but this...
C.J. Wilson pitches Angels past Blue Jays
ANAHEIM, Calif. (AP) -- The Los Angeles Angels shelled out big bucks to C.J. Wilson during the offseason because of his reputation for pitching deep into games and eating up innings. The fact that they don't have to face him anymore was just a bonus.
Wilson pitched effectively through eight innings and got home run support from Mike Trout and Mark Trumbo as the Angels bounced...
