Top 30 Reds Prospects: No 27
Over the past year the Reds top three shortstop prospects have been promoted, traded, and moved to the outfield. Unfortunately Brodie Greene’s performance last season did not prevent Cincinnati from going outside the organization to fill that void. The 25 year-old should be primed to make a case for a promotion to AAA during 2013.

Greene Perfect at Plate in Wahoo Loss
There are no shortage of interesting middle infield prospects in the Cincinnati system. Despite the competition Brodie Greene's skills and work ethic has drawn a lot of attention to the 24 year-old Texan. His four-hit game last night raised his average over .300 and his projections include good power for a middle infielder.

2011 Season in Review: Brodie Greene
Brodie Greene entered 2011 coming off of a 2010 season where he struggled after an aggressive placement in High-A right after being drafted. His average and plate discipline were solid, but his power was didn’t show up in his initial minor league exposure.
The Reds decided to keep Greene at High-A to begin the 2011 season, though this time he headed to Bakersfield instead of Lynchburg...

There may be no Reds prospect having a better showing in their offseason league than 2B Brodie Greene. The 24-year old from Texas A&M University is performing well for the Phoenix Desert Dogs.
Through 21 games played Greene has batted .288/.374/.475 with 4 homers, 15 RBIs and 14 runs scored.

The Phoenix Desert Dogs lost again, dropping a close 3-2 game to the Scottsdale Scorpions.
