The Seattle Mariners have traded third baseman Carlos Peguero to the Kansas City Royals, for a player to named later or cash considerations, according to the Associated Press.

Carlos Peguero suffers medial meniscus tear
Greg Johns of MLB.com and a Seattle Mariners beat writer is reporting that Mariners OF Carlos Peguero suffered a medial meniscus tear in left knee in Tacoma.
He's having surgery Thursday, and will be out 4-6 weeks.
