The Cleveland Indians announced on Tuesday afternoon that first baseman Nick Swisher has been placed on the paternity list and infielder Cord Phelps has been recalled from Triple-A Columbus.
Phelps is hitting .233 (27-for-116) with 8 2B, 5 HR & 19 RBI in 30 games for Columbus this year, including a mark of .263 (20-for-76) with 5 2B, 5 HR & 13 RBI in 19 games in May....
