The Texas Rangers have acquired outfielder Dan Robertson from the San Diego Padres for cash considerations, according to a team announcement. Although Robertson has never appeared in the majors and was at Triple-A El Paso for the Padres, he was added to the Rangers' active roster and will be available for tonight's game in Oakland.
Robertson, who was selected by the Padres...
When we last caught up with Dan Robertson in the off-season he was in a type of limbo unsure if he would be in AA San Antonio or AAA Tucson to begin the season. As always in baseball these things have a way of working themselves out.
Organization Summary: Despite all four teams losing some dazzling performances by Tucson’s Dan Robertson and Lake Elsinore’s Cory Spangenberg. A real tough debut by pitcher Joe Ross in Fort Wayne and despite the loss its great to see Josh Geer healthy and back playing baseball.

Dan Robertson, 26, was drafted in the thirty-third round of the 2008 draft, which may in a few years go down as one of the better San Diego drafts with the organization selecting Logan Forsythe, Brad Brach, Blake Tekotte and Jaff Decker among others.
